What if I told you that currently my favorite pair of panties aren't even panties?

It would be because they are knickers. 

Such is the case though as I can't stop filling my overflowing lingerie drawers with the cute, soft, and oh-so-comfortable briefs from Stripe & Stare. Now, in the US, when you think of "briefs" you might be thinking of the bloomers your granny infamously is alleged to have worn. These things are anything but. They're mid to low rise, lace-trimmed, and come in a seemingly endless variety of colors and patterns. They're super-soft, breathable, and free from VPL. 

But that's just the original brief that made Stripe & Stare what seemed like and overnight sensation. There's so much more than that. Suppose high waisted is your thing...they've got you covered (see what I did there?). They also have hipsters and brazilians as well as thongs in a high waisted or low waisted option. And knickers aren't everything. They also offer bras and bralettes, bodysuits, camis and tanks, and all kinds of lounge and sleepwear. In addition to all of that, they've begun offering tops and sweatshirts as well...all of it made with TENCEL modal. If you're not familiar with that fabric, you really need to feel it to believe it. It looks like cotton, but feel so much softer, stretchier, lightweight, and breathable. It feels better than wearing nothing at all. Their website advertises that their products are "made from trees", as the modal is made from fibers derived from wood sources through a process that generates low emissions and has a high recovery rate of process ingredients. Just in case that's not enough, Stripe & Stare pledges to plant a tree for every order they receive. Not bad for products that are a pleasure to wear without considering the potential impact on the environment.

But for now we'll be focusing mostly on the knickers. I first came across them while browsing in a local boutique. It's hard to find a word to describe them other than "cute", but that might just be what they are. To the eye they look like a basic cotton brief but the lace trim all around really gives them a lot of femininity. What was really impressive about them though is the feel. These have to be the softest panties I own. They're lightweight, stretchy, and comfortable and feel absolutely amazing to wear. All while coming in fun bright colors and cute patterns.

Stripe & Stare is a female founded and female owned business (more on this to come in the future). Katie was frustrated with the difficulty of finding a comfortable everyday brief somewhere between sexy and frumpy. Six years later Stripe & Stare was founded in Britain making products from sustainable materials farmed in Austria. The goal was to combine style, sustainability and comfort. Was Katie successful? Well...you gotta feel these for yourself.
